A spiritual experience
It is in a hospital, far from temples and any spiritual or religious context, through sickness and cure, that I met ‘the one’ or ‘what’ I genuinely am. I realized that I was not my mind, that I was not my thoughts, but the simple and spontaneous Presence that precedes every manifestation. What I call ‘awakening’ is the truth of the Original Nature that joined me. It is the direct experimentation of the ‘Living Presence’ that I am, already given, already present at my birth.
About
The awakening to our Being is a return to what we are genuinely, naturally. By identifying ourselves to the appearances, we have forgotten our simplicity, our original nudity. If we want to know ourselves, to find ‘the one’ we really are, we have to locate ourselves at the source, before the conceptual mind to which we have identified ourselves, and especially through which we try to understand. We are the prisoners of a role. It is by getting clear from the mind and its beliefs, in the authenticity of the heart, that we will find our true identity and that we will see ourselves free at last.Biography
Denis Marie was born in 1959. He works as a computer graphics expert. Through a Christian education and the motivation of an intimate conviction, he got interested very early in the spiritual path. In his research, he worked several years within catholic organizations. In parallel in Paris around the age of 24, he invested himself in the Buddhist tradition and followed the teachings of several Tibetan masters during about twenty years. In 1996, as a gift, a realization took place, following his sickness and cure after a transplant.
Since then, in the light of this awaking and the radical change of his perspective, he develops a personal approach of the spiritual path. At the moment, he is preparing the publication of his first book ‘The ordinary awakening’, in which he exposes this understanding.
